EYEMUSE Science

Researchers at Kirin are the first to discover the benefits of EYEMUSE, Lacticaseibacillus paracasei KW3110, a proprietary heat-killed probiotic strain for eye health.* EYEMUSE is the only lactic acid bacteria that has been suggested to reduce the effect of blue light by activating immune cells.*

Science Snapshot

Glutathione as an antioxidant

What is Lacticaseibacillus paracasei ?

L. paracasei is a commonly used lactic acid bacteria for the fermentation of dairy products and has benefits for gut health.*

Glutathione: The body's Master antioxidant

What are paraprobiotics?

Paraprobiotics are defined as dead bacteria (or dead probiotics) with benefits for human health when taken orally. Paraprobiotics, in general, have a superior stability profile compared to probiotics.

Low on glutathione?

What is EYEMUSE?

EYEMUSE is heat-killed Lacticaseibacillus paracasei KW3110, the only strain in the world that has been clinically researched to support eye health and reduce eye fatigue.*

Recent published clinical trials have shown:

Study 1: Addressing occasional blue light effects and supporting retina health with EYEMUSE

In vitro and in vivo studies were performed to study the protective effects of the Lacticaseibacillus paracasei KW3110 (EYEMUSE) strain on retinal functions.1

Conclusion

EYEMUSE stimulates immune cells that produce regulatory cytokines such as IL-10 to support eye health.* By helping the regulatory cytokine induction and supporting a balanced immune response, EYEMUSE may help reduce digital stress-related eye fatigue and other ocular discomforts.*

Study 2: Effect of EYEMUSE on Eye Fatigue

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, researchers studied the effects of EYEMUSE for eye fatigue on 88 healthy subjects over 8 weeks.2

Conclusion

Using critical flicker frequency (CFF), an indicator of eye fatigue, EYEMUSE significantly reduced eye fatigue.*

Study 3: Effect of EYEMUSE on ocular health

A randomized double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted in 62 healthy Japanese participants aged 35 - 45 with eye fatigue over an 8-week period.3

Conclusion

EYEMUSE was shown to reduce eye fatigue symptoms such as ocular discomfort, stiffness in the waist and/or shoulder, and ocular fatigue sensation.*

The bottom line

To keep your eyes performing at their best, add EYEMUSE, a proprietary heat-killed probiotic strain, to your daily routine.
